Did you miss the last one of our Erasmus in Schools activities? Don’t worry! Here’s your second chance. Because the first workshopday at the IMC Weekendschool was such a great success, another one will be organised and all you international students are invited to be a volunteer (again)!
The idea of our Erasmus in Schools activities is to participate in the Dutch (high school) culture, learn something about the Dutch ways of living and to teach Dutch (high school) students about your home country while helping out during some of their activities. If you join this third activity, you get the chance to go to the IMC Weekendschool in Amsterdam, where you will be helping out with workshops provided to orient the high school students on their interests, on what they want to become in the future.
ABOUT THE IMC WEEKENDSCHOOL
The IMC Weekendschool introduces children aged 10 to 14 from disadvantaged neighbourhoods and often migration backgrounds to the world of work through passionate professionals acting as volunteers. These volunteers introduce students to a wide range of professions and topics, including medicine, law, computer studies, philosophy, astrology and the arts. If you like some more information on the Weekendschool, please visit their website:
ABOUT THE EVENT
On the 17th of December, you will be a volunteer for a day and guide the students during workshops, organized by the professionals, in which they can explore the topics listed above and many more. Your task during the day will be that you help the students with the workshops, help them in choosing their interests, but mainly to interact with them and making them enthusiastic about the workshop and their future possibilities! Coffee and tea will be available and lunch will be provided by ISN Amsterdam!
