ESN VU Amsterdam and ISN Amsterdam proudly present you the first Dutch Movie Night of the semester. During these activities we work together to give you an insight into Dutch (film) culture. We show movies made in the Netherlands but do not worry, the movies will be shown with English subtitles!

The last movie of this semester is Oorlogswinter.
Oorlogswinter, or Winter in Wartime, is based on the eponymous 1972 novel of Jan Terlouw. The movie is about a teenaged Dutch boy, named Michiel van Beusekom, who tries to assist the Dutch resistance during World War II by helping a British airman stay out of German hands during the Nazi occupation. Wartime's harsh reality encroaches on childhood innocence as Michiel confronts good and evil, courage and duplicity, and his own burden of responsibility. The event is free for ISN Amsterdam members and for students at the HvA and UvA. So bring all your friends for a fun night out. Just show your ESN/student card at the front desk to get your ticket! NO reservation is needed, hope to see you there!
