President: Lisa Ottolander
Hi guys! Welcome to Amsterdam! My name is Lisa Ottolander, I am 24 years old, and I am the president of ISN Amsterdam. I am here to make sure your experience in the Netherlands will be an unforgettable one.
I have traveled in Southeast Asia over the past few years and I know what it is like to feel a little lost when you first arrive in a new country. All those new impressions, faces, and places can be pretty overwhelming. However, we will make sure you have a great time and in a few weeks you will be riding your bike like any other Dutchie!
Secretary & Vice President: Emily Ding
Welcome to the most tolerant, diverse and largest city in the Netherlands! My name is Emily Ding, 23 years old, born and raised in the Netherlands and of Chinese heritage. I am studying Msc Accountancy & Control and Tax Law. In 2016 I studied at Tsinghua University in Beijing and this turned out incredible! It is such a wonderful experience to meet people from different countries and I highly encourage everyone to have a global mindset and an openness towards each other’s cultures as this can only be rewarding. Studying in Amsterdam will not only enrich your knowledge by broadening your horizon but also enable us to build lifelong friendships with students from all around the world. ISN will help you with this by bringing you together with our unforgettable activities, events and trips. We hope that this way you can get the most out of your stay in Amsterdam!

Activities Coordinator: Twan Meijers
Hi! My name is Twan Meijers. I am 20 years old and a student of the bachelor Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE) at the University of Amsterdam. PPLE, being very internationally oriented, has given me the opportunity to learn about the life needs of and international student. I will be this year’s Activities Coordinator of the ISN-board, aiming to organize the nicest events to make sure that exchange students will feel completely at home in our beautiful city!
Integration Coordinator: Ina Paredis
Hi there! First of all: welcome to Amsterdam! My name is Ina Paredis, and I'll be your Integration Coordinator this years. As a Belgian studying Anthropology in Amsterdam for three years now, I have first-hand experience with integrating into Dutch society. When I first arrived, I got lost for days in a row, spend a considerable amount of time wondering why the Dutch are so freakishly tall, what’s up with the gel in their hair and deliberating whether or not I like the typical Dutch licorice… But in the end, Amsterdam became my second home and now my go-to candy is in fact licorice. I can't wait to help you make Amsterdam your new (even if temporary) home and make this an incredible experience! But don’t worry I won’t force you to eat licorice…
PR & Funding Coordinator: Helena Gerb
Hi! My name is Helena, I’m studying International Business and Languages and I’m really excited that I’m able to make your semester abroad the best time of your student life! I’ve been to Australia and Mexico, each for a year and know how great people and awesome activities during this exciting time can make memories last. And this is what we will do together with our sponsors and ESN: make your memories in Amsterdam last a lifetime! I’m looking forward to meeting you aaaaand: let’s have an amazing time together!
Introduction Coordinator: Willem Speelman
ello, I am Willem Speelman, a 23 year old sociologist about to start his Masters. During the fourth year of my Bachelor's degree I departed for Berlin. The plan was to stay a semester, but one and a half years went by in this fantastic city. It was exhilarating, sensational and sometimes rough. The time in Berlin changed my perspective on people. Being an exchange student means to get out of your comfort zone and to explore and develop new sides of your personality. It is a time of meeting new people. As Introduction Coordinator I will contribute to this by organizing the two Introduction weeks at the beginning of each semester. It will be a pleasure meeting you.
Introduction Coordinator: Jernelissa Iradi
Hi there! First of all: Welcome to Amsterdam, the city for all! My name is Jernelissa Iradi and I’m a 21-year-old student. Currently, I am following the Study International Business and Languages at the AUAS. I love new adventures and travelling, this is why I studied abroad in Mexico City and performed my internship in Valencia (Spain), over the past two semesters. Both experiences gave me the opportunity to develop myself, to discover the two cultures, to meet a bunch of internationals and locals and together we created the greatest memories. I look forward meeting all of you and hope that together we will make your stay here one of the best experiences you will ever have! See you soon XOXO
