The Activites Committee organizes all of the activities throughout the year, such as city trips, sports activities, parties and many more (check the semester overview here). You will occasionally spot our committee at the activities, so don't hesitate to remind them of how much fun you are having!

Hello there! My name is Bas Broekstra, a 21 year old fourth year Aviation Operations student at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA). I have studied abroad for one term, in the United Kindgom at Coventry University. I love to travel and meet new people. This year I hope to get to know new people from all over the globe through ISN, and contribute to their time in The Netherlands!

My name is John Luca de Vries, I’m a 22 year old Sociology student at the University of Amsterdam in the fourth year of my bachelor degree. My daily life consists of music, sports, politics, coding for my minor in computational science, and hard, hard labor. But well, when you work hard you gotta play hard. I’m excited to partake in the ISN activities commission to have fun with exchange students new to the city of Amsterdam, as there’s so much to do and see here. I just came back from an exchange year at UBC in Vancouver, Canada, and I’m properly feeling like a tourist in my own country now. So I’ll be sharing this wonderful experience with every one of you I’ll meet in the coming year.

Hey! My name is Isabel Bonnet, I am a 20-year-old Communication Science student at the UvA and a passionate photographer. I am a member of the Activities Committee, but most importantly, I’ve been an international student my whole life, just like you are now. French and Venezuelan, I have lived in five countries from three different continents and travelled to five. I will be here to help in the organization of trips and events and to help you in anything you need in either English, Spanish, French or some sort of Portuguese –that sounds Spanish.

Hi, I am Valeriia Lashko from Russia and the first year student of Communication Science Bachelor Programme. I am adventurous person willing to travel and explore the world. Living among different background is a story of human ambition. I am a member of Activities Committee because I want to experience diverse countries around me. Personally, I experienced being an international student when I first came to Canada for finishing high school. Now I am on the other side of the world again seeking for new adventures. My biggest motivator to go higher is music since it makes me believe that there are no limits for people! For me life becomes more interesting and fascinating with positive people around!
